Cable Systems
Cable systems or railings as they are referred to, consist of stainless steel cable assembled through stations of varying materials. They have minimal obstruction to your view and offer a modern aesthetic design. Cable systems can be combined with various station options, including, wood and stainless steel. This is a strong, durable option of balustrade suitable for exterior and interior applications.
Glass Balustrades
Toughened glass is a modern and popular design choice for balustrades, which creates an almost uninterrupted view. We offer various styles of glass balustrades. It can be incorporated with tubular and stainless steel framing. Frameless glass is another option which can be top mounted with spigots, side mounted or embedded into concrete. Glass can be clear or tinted as per your design style. All our glass balustrades use toughened, SABS approved glass supplied by a recognised glass supplier and carry the required SABS stamping.
Tubular Systems
Tubular systems consist of various styles which can be used on their own or combined to create the design you desire. Some of these include: Rectangular tubing, round tubing, square tubing and solid flat sections. We also offer laser cut stations as an alternative to the standard tubular system. All our stainless steel is supplied by a market leader and we only use 316 grade stainless for external work and offer a choice of 304 grade or 316 grade for internal work. We can also offer wooden stanchions, handrails or treads.
Staircases
Cape Balustrades offers steel staircase frames constructed out of tubular or IPE sections. Treads can be manufactured from steel or timber. There are many designs incorporating glass, wood and stainless steel. We also offer spiral staircases.
